Core Club Online. Why aren't you part of it yet?


I was big into the the gym as a 30+ year old and was hitting the weights because that’s what everyone else was doing. I was running a lot but wasn’t getting anywhere that I could see or chart as progressive.


Did I enjoy the gym? No. Not ever. Looking back I hated resistance machines with a passion and resented the reliance on other people and a building to make my training happen.


So one day I took back control…


I started to train for my running differently, I started to eat differently, I wrote up very different functional movement patterning sets and started putting blocks of them together in a way that pushed me to my limits across elements such as time under tension, proprioception, balance, contralateral movement, strength and stability. I focused on functionality and the need to be able to do whatever I wanted, when I wanted. No isolation work, no smashing myself so I couldn’t move the following day.


The inner strength and sense of control I have gained from the changes I made is immeasurable. I look forward to moving a lot every day. I enjoy turning up.
